During June and July, the kiln in my atelier was running really hot. Of course a potter’s oven is supposed to get very hot in order to fire the clay properly, but what I mean is that there was not much time in between for the kiln to cool down. Uploading photos of the past workshops and of all the students’ finished pieces made me also realize how busy these two months actually were and how many people spent some time in my atelier experiencing the clay, creating unique and personal pieces, exchanging ideas and opinions and so much more.
We had lots of fun doing all kinds of objects, patterns and designs, the atelier was filled with laughter and fun but also often with absolute silence where you could almost touch the concentration in the air. There was space for everyone and everyone’s creativity. It was very inspiring! Thank you all who were being a part of this. In the gallery below you find some impressions of the workshops and if you like to see the outcomes of all this busy time, visit the gallery of our finished pieces.
The next series of ceramic workshops is planned for November and December. If you like to get a message when the new program is out, subscribe here, if you haven’t done so already.
In the meantime enjoy the beauty of August, take care and see you again in autumn!
