I’m happy to announce two more ceramic workshops before we fully settle into summer mode.
Modelling a Relief Picture – Between Drawing and Sculpture
21 / 6 / 2026 Sunday, 10:00-14:00 building the relief
5 / 7 / 2026 Sunday, 10:00-14:00 painting and finishing the relief
In this creative workshop, you will turn an idea or favourite image into a unique three-dimensional relief. Whether you choose a portrait, a landscape, a plant, an animal, a mandala, or a completely imaginative design, there are no limits to what you can create.
Using a technique that bridges drawing and sculpture, we will explore how to build depth, texture, and form in clay.
Once the pieces have been fired, we will meet again to bring them to life with acrylic paints.
A selection of example works can be found here.
Sculpting Faces – Beyond Perfect Features
27 / 6 / 2026 Saturday, 10:00-14:00
The focus of this workshop is the human face. Participants of all experience levels are welcome.
It is fascinating to watch a simple lump of clay gradually transform into something that feels almost alive. Whether the features are rendered realistically or more freely is not what matters most. As the work develops, each face acquires its own character and expression, becoming something personal and unique.
We will work with local red clay and leave the fired pieces in their natural terracotta finish.
Here, you can see examples from previous Sculpting Faces workshops.
